5 things we should bring to the UK and Japan!!
I tried to figure out what we need to bring for spending great time in the UK and Japan. Please refer to this!
The UK. 1. Clothes Generally, you can find people who are dressed up well in the UK. So, I think you might want to bring your nicer looking clothes. If you have plans to go to like the opera or pretty dining, you might want to bring some smarter clothes.
2. Electronic Gear The UK uses a 220v three pin system which is EF type. So you are going to need a travel adapter.
3. Folding Umbrella The UK’s weather is kind of uncertain. So, if you have a folding umbrella, it’s going to help you. It rains a lot in the UK.
4. Sunscreen You might need to protect your skin from the UV rays because the UK’s UV rays is so strong. Especially, it is going to strong from June to August. Maybe you likely to bring a parasol to protect from the ultraviolet rays. And you can use a parasol when it rains. It is a useful item! Isn’t it??
5. Smartphone You will of course want your smartphone. You can research anything in yours. If you have an unlocked phone, the cheapest way to get online will be pick up a SIM card. If you have it, you can use your phone without Wi-Fi. And if you are thinking about buying new smartphone, I recommend a phone which has good camera. It is going to make a great travel.
Japan
1. Money “en” Totally, you can use your credit card when you buy something in Japan. However, there are some restaurants which you can not use credit for your paying in Japan. One of the most familiar examples is Izakaya. It is like a Japanese style bar. You can drink alcohol and eat there. Some izakaya don’t have a credit card system, so you need to have en just in case. By the way, if you are under twenty years old, you can not drink in Japan.
2. Pajamas If you are going to stay at a Japanese style hotel, you might want to have pajamas. Maybe there is yukata instead of pajamas in your room. So if you feel like you can not sleep with wearing yukata, you need to bring pajamas although you should try to wear kimono!!
3. Folding Umbrellas If you come to Japan in June, you will definitely need a folding umbrella. It is the rain season. I don’t recommend coming Japan in June but you can see a lot of hydrangeas. In addition, in other countries, people don’t use umbrellas so much when it rains but people use them when it rains a little bit in Japan. I think it’s one of the Japanese culture.
4. Universal Power Adapter You can get away with plugging US style adapter which is two-pronged cords into Japanese outlets. But any devices you may bring that require three prongs won’t work. So it is a good idea to bring universal power adapter.
5. Trash bags There are a few trash box at some public places in Japan. I mean there are no trash boxes on a road. So if you have trash bags, it is might helpful.
Nice job Natsuki. Your writing is good. I have two suggestions for you to try on your next blog:
1. Photos/images: Use a photo or image for any/every idea that you have that you can show.
